Prepped for Summer~ (Ladies 4/6)

Jump to Comments

This fabric reminds me of the Burberry plaid.  It is not Burberry fabric and should not be mistaken for it.  The peachy tan has dark sage and white stripes with coralish stripes as well.  It is printed on the bias and made from a lycra stretch lightweight twill.  This fabric does not need a slip and is super comfortable and durable.  Challice had a skirt out of this in blue and it wore like a dream.  Hangs beautifully, and well, enough about my opinion, here’s the skirt!  I do have enough for at least one more of these and we do have more of that blue so if  you would like to see other styles, sizes, or the other color, please comment and let me know.

Prepped for Summer!

The Specs:

Length-  27.5″

Low Waist- 29″  (aprox 2″ below natural waist)

Hip- 42″

$ 22.50 pp

SKIRT MEASUREMENTS.  I would recommend this for a natural waist of 26 or 27″ or so.  While this is sized as a ladies 4/6, if worn at the natural waist, it could be worn a size larger (especially on juniors) I suppose but I’ve never tried that myself.  It might not work but I’ve heard of people doing it.

Care:  Machine wash, hang dry to protect the integrity of the lycra (we stuck ours in the dryer and it wore like a dream but I have to say that since it’s the offical opinion of the fabric manufacturer.)  Cool iron if desired.  Off to iron it now… I never did iron out all the fold lines I had from having it stacked with my fabric.

 PS.  The fabric mentioned is shown here:  This is not naturally cut on the bias but can be upon request.

  • I really like this style. Can I somehow see the blue fabric? I also like my skirts either knee lenght or very long. So that would be only about 21″ long. The rest of the measurements are just right.I’m writing this since you asked for special requests.

  • Zsuzsa…

    Looking for a pic of the blue fabric…

    In the mean time, I’d be happy to shorten any skirt upon request outside the few that do not shorten well. (Occasionally I’ll have one that you just CANT shorten but they are few and far between)

    Thank you for your encouragement!

  • Yes, the blue fabric would be a better match for my wardrobe. (I’m looking at all the tops I can wear with that) Do you think you have enough fabric to make one more skirt? I can give you my measurements. :-)
